In 1976, Zhejiang Wuyi Tea Factory was established as a state-owned enterprise.

In April 1999, Zhejiang Wuyi Tea Industry Co., Ltd. was established after the enterprise restructuring. The company was jointly established by Hangzhou Hezhong Industrial Group Investment Co., Ltd., natural person Zheng Suping, Zhejiang Tea Import and Export Co., Ltd., and Wuyi County supply and Marketing Cooperative General Corporation of Zhejiang Province.
